| The
North Central Florida Commerce Corridor (NCFCC) is a regional alliance
of public and private interests focused on developing, implementing,
and executing a strategic plan for sustained regional prosperity.
The corridor group has been organized by a group of visionary business
leaders and progressive public officials seeking to create a vibrant
economy while preserving the natural beauty and uniqueness of our
regional communities.
The
creation of the North Central Florida Commerce Corridor was motivated
by a need to focus and channel the strengths of our region's individuals,
businesses, organizations, institutions, and governments to collaborate
in making our region a more competitive marketplace in the global
economy of the 21st century.
The
geographic area includes Alachua, Bradford, Citrus, Dixie, Gilchrist,
Levy, Marion, Putnam, Sumter, and parts of Lake counties. NCFCC
is modeled after several other regional initiatives that have had
a significant positive economic impact on the regions they represent.
Our
organization is not aligned with any single community interest.
Nor do we represent any parochial interest group. But we understand
the value and power of presenting and marketing our region as a
cohesive unit.
